Health and Safety Policy
All staff members undergo enhanced DBS checks before starting at the nursery, with regular renewals.
All staff receive Safeguarding Children training through the local authority, Brighter Futures for Children.
Policies are reviewed annually to ensure they reflect best practices.
Risk assessments are carried out regularly on all nursery zones and before any activities.
Each staff member holds a paediatric First Aid certificate.
Nutrition
We provide daily fresh, nutritious healthy meals prepared/cooked at the nursery.
We have our own kitchen, including suitable sterilisation equipment for babbies food.
Fresh water is continually available at any time.
We fully cater for special diets on medical, cultural or religious grounds.
Any special diet and food allergies are promptly recorded and communicated on daily bases.
All staff involved in preparing and handling food received training in food hygiene. In addition, including guidance on menu planning, food safety, managing food allergies and reading food labels.
Pick-Up Rules
Children are only allowed to leave the nursery with a parent or a previously approved nominated person.
Outdoor Play
Our well-secured outdoor area provides a safe environment for children to enjoy games and activities on a soft surface.
