Health and Safety Policy

• All staff members undergo enhanced DBS checks before starting at the nursery, with regular renewals.

• All staff receive Safeguarding Children training through the local authority, Brighter Futures for Children.

• Policies are reviewed annually to ensure they reflect best practices.

• Risk assessments are carried out regularly on all nursery zones and before any activities.

• Each staff member holds a paediatric First Aid certificate.

Nutrition

• We provide daily fresh, nutritious healthy meals prepared/cooked at the nursery.

• We have our own kitchen, including suitable sterilisation equipment for babbies food.

• Fresh water is continually available at any time.

• We fully cater for special diets on medical, cultural or religious grounds.

• Any special diet and food allergies are promptly recorded and communicated on daily bases.

• All staff involved in preparing and handling food received training in food hygiene. In addition, including guidance on menu planning, food safety, managing food allergies and reading food labels.
